SAP has introduced SAP Profitability and Performance Management, which is built on the in-memory platform SAP HANA. This new generation of integrated performance management applications is designed to provide instant insights by using a single source of truth, real-time processes, and agile financial and business modelling capabilities.

It can use and reuse existing data and information models from other SAP and non-SAP applications in the cloud or on-premise, allowing for maximum reuse of existing data and metadata. The software can integrate operational systems and data warehouses at high speed with little or no data replication. It offers various features, such as what-if scenarios, drill-down capabilities, traceability, and auditability information.

SAP Profitability and Performance Management cover different use cases such as agile plan and forecast modelling, direct tax calculation, IT cost management, and process mining on SAP S/4HANA.
