The BW Modeling Tools in SAP BW/4HANA provide users with predefined views and configurations for modeling tasks.

Users organize tasks in projects, which are the largest structural units displayed in the Project Explorer view. A BW project represents a real system logon to a single back end system, and provides a framework for accessing and modeling SAP BW/4HANA metadata objects and functions.

The project structure contains a list of SAP BW/4HANA metadata objects itemized under nodes such as Favorites, BW Repository, and DataSources. Users can assign objects to the Favorites node for easy access across projects. The BW Modeling perspective also includes various other views and editors for modeling tasks.
